Congresswoman Cheney Launches History Project to Archive the Stories of Wyoming Veterans

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Cheney is working with the Library of Congress to preserve the stories, memories, and history of Wyoming veterans for future generations. Starting this month, we will be working with interested veterans and their families to preserve oral histories of Wyoming’s veterans. In cooperation with the Library of Congress, this project will ensure the stories of our veterans’ sacrifices are archived for future generations. Representatives from Congresswoman Cheney’s office will be available to work with veterans to record the interviews on film and send the footage to the Library of Congress to be archived.

“We have a great deal to learn from the men and women who proudly fought for America. Their memories and the memories of their friends and family should be preserved and honored,” Congresswoman Cheney said. “It’s crucial that future generations learn about the service and sacrifices of those who have served our nation in uniform.”
