Washington – Wyoming Congresswoman and House GOP Conference Chair Liz Cheney (R-WY) joined Breitbart Radio this morning to discuss House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s comments claiming that it is a “diversion” for President Trump and Congressional Republicans to be focused on holding the Chinese Communist Party accountable for spreading COVID-19.

ALEX MARLOW: You mentioned that the impeachment was taking place, it was peak impeachment, when we were also at the only moment where we could have stopped this virus from ravaging the United States to a certain degree and we were not focused on this. [Nancy Pelosi] is out there suggesting we can only focus on one thing at a time. Doesn’t that sort of impugn her character in the sense that she was pushing the impeachment which we all know the outcome was never in doubt in the Senate? In the meantime, they missed this, and again, still acting like it’s the President’s fault. It doesn’t sound like she is even playing by her own rules?

REP. LIZ CHENEY:Don’t forget Alex, not only was she pushing impeachment, she took the House Intelligence Committee and took them off of all of their important oversight committee responsibilities and consumed them, insisted they be consumed with, led by Adam Schiff, her impeachment effort. So it wasn’t just that she was going down the impeachment path from a political standpoint or that she had this vendetta, she took the one committee in the House that is charged with, and that has the clearances to be able to conduct oversight to be able to look into issues like the Wuhan Virus and its origins and to be able to catch those things. She assured, guaranteed, that they would not be focused on those things. That instead they would be having to go down the path of Adam Schiff’s partisan impeachment. She has a lot to answer for. I think there’s no question but that history is going to look back and say, ‘Wait a minute. What was the House of Representatives’ Intelligence Committee doing during the exact time they should have been focused on the threat of this virus?’ They were doing impeachment and they were doing it because that’s what Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff told them to do.
