Washington – Wyoming Congresswoman Liz Cheney (R-WY) issued the following statement regarding her work securing military replacement medals awarded to Harry Grover that had been recently stolen from VFW Post 1881.

“I was honored to work with VFW Post 1881 to secure and present replacement medals to Marty Albright that her father received for his  brave service during World Word II,” Rep. Cheney said. “These medals represent Harry Grover’s sacrifice, bravery, and grit as he fought gallantly for our freedom and against tyranny.”

Harry Grover served in the U.S. Army in Africa and Italy during World War II. Congresswoman Cheney’s office worked with the United State Army to secure the following medals after they were stolen in September from VFW Post 1881: Purple Heart, Bronze Star, WWII Victory Medal, American Defense Service Medal, European–African–Middle Eastern Campaign Medal and Good Conduct Medal.
