Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Liz Cheney issued the following statement after the United States Department of Agriculture announced Wyoming native Chad Rupe will serve as the Acting Administrator for the USDA’s Rural Utilities Service:

“This is great news for Wyoming and our country. Administrator Rupe’s experience as the USDA’s State Director for Rural Development in Wyoming gives him great insight into the problems our state faces, and also makes him uniquely qualified to serve as the Acting Administrator for the Department’s Rural Utilities Service. I congratulate him on this appointment, and look forward to working with him in this new role to continue to help the people of Wyoming.”
