Laramie’s Bob Willis served in the U.S. Army as an infantryman in the 66th and 26th divisions during WWII. He courageously fought in the Battle of the Bulge and was assigned to protect 20 female concentration camp survivors who were chosen to testify against the Nazi guards. Willis was awarded a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart for his service in World War II. Bob Willis is a hero, veteran, and beloved Wyoming resident.
