Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Liz Cheney’s statement on The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) announcement to extend the temporary waiver from the ELD rule for agriculture related transportation an additional 90 days.

“The new Electronic Logging Device (ELD) requirements are harmful to Wyoming’s agriculture industry, high school and college rodeo competitors.  I’m pleased the FMCSA announced another delay in the implementation of the new ELD rule. One-size-fits-all regulations do not fit all, especially when it comes to livestock handling. I will continue to work with my colleagues in Congress and with the Department of Transportation and to find a solution.”
