Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Liz Cheney’s (WY-AL) statement on House passage of several bills this week to improve the welfare of our nation’s veterans.
“This week the House passed several important bills to improve the VA and support our nation’s veterans. These include bills that strengthen mental health services, support telemedicine for rural veterans who may not have access to a nearby facility, and cut the red tape on the approval process for on-the-job training and apprentice programs. We owe a debt of gratitude to the men and women who put their lives on the line to defend the freedoms we enjoy as Americans. It is incredibly important that we provide our veterans with the benefits and care they have earned and deserve. These bills are an important step in fulfilling that commitment and I will continue working in Congress to ensure we improve the VA and provide our veterans the care they have earned.”
